apogon imberbis does this cardinal go into freshwater though? I've caught a few species in brackish before in China. And the glossimion aprion from Aussie does too.

Just a note on the Glossomia aprion, it is listed by fishbase as FW to Brackish, http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=14863
The Apogon imberis is listed as marine.

yeah, in the right direction, this specie is known for the distinctive coloration, and its from Europe hope that helps
