I know, when I first saw it I thought it was a herring :D
 
Nope, not a Macrochirichthys, hints are, from Eurasia, Rivers feeding into Baltic, Black, Aral, and Caspian seas, reaches 60 cm.
 
Not a hydrolycos, those are south american.
