Wayne has got it,
the Zander, Sander lucioperca of Europe. The big one is the world record and the pic is from www.fishing-world.com (41,23 lbs.), the other pic is from a book "Pesci d'Aqcqua "Dolce, Atlanta d'Europa" by S. Bruno and S. Maugeri. here is one more pic of a Zander, I forgot to record the site it is from.
The synonym Stizostedion is still not recognized as valid by fishbase but it is the same fish.
