Is he starving the gar for at least a day prior to shipping them so that they can pass all of their waste outside of the bags? That would help a bunch; not to mention going with UPS or FEDEX for shipping (at least Next Day or 2nd Day).

He's only 2 hours from my house, which is why we were using USPS Priority. It got here in less than 24 hours last time he tried. It's much cheaper to use USPS priority over UPS/Fedex next day service (like 1/3 to 1/4 the price).
I think I'm just going to plan on driving out there and picking them up in person. I want these gars pretty bad, but I don't want to waste any more of them trying to ship them. The bags were pretty thick (usual fish bags), plus they were double bagged and placed inside tupperware. I think its just that the handling is so rough, plus the gars have very sharp teeth.

O, ok. I didn't realize how close you are located to him; for farther away it would probably be safer to go with UPS or FEDEX though, right? I mean, a sticker that says "Fragile" probably wouldn't change how they handle the package.

i think if he starves them so they dont waste in the bag, double bags them, and writes live fish, this up all around the bag(which is what snookn did) then we can get thie right!!
