well, pacu itself is not rare enough for seiichi. and pacu is a very general term. I know that you're into some rare characins lately., I'm not very educated on the different spcies. I do like the tometes trilobatus, or tomoetes lebaili. Some of which are found alongside the rare fogo bass which you have also, some part of Brazil, around rio alto florista.
 
since you're researching this subject. I use to think that only tometes have the bilobed trilobed anal fins. but recently, I've noticed, that "males" of many species in this family even these uneven jagged anal fins. as seen in these pictures from a german website. first one is a tometes, the others are more common ones, notice the anal fins! its not torn, its just like that.
