IM probaly going to get flamed for this,but a friend of mine let me borrow his rtb for a project,which i explained in a preivious thread.Well that some friend just so happend to take me to a reptile show,where i got a free juvnile rtb.

I will probaly get flamed for this,but i couldent pass up a free rtb.I just thought id share,that.He or she is in a 55 gallon.With a infa red bulb on one side and a basking liht on the other.I will post pics.

you wont get flamed as long as you except the advice given to you even if it means finding the snake a new home or providing a larger or more proper enclosure for it with the proper substrate and other amenities.

You say you have two lights on either end? Move them both to the same side, and only have one on at a time; i.e. have the basking light on during the day and the infrared one at night.

It doesn't matter if a animal cost 1 dollar or 1000 dollars, both need to be taken care of the same. In this case it didn't cost you anything. Now you can use all that money you saved towards building a large cage. Also, try not to make up lies and excuses. Getting out of that habit is a step forward in this industry.

No, no heating mat, for a thick bodied snake such as this it would not be as affective as a basking lamp. Make sure it has a guard on it though.

BTW is this the same 55 that the Mangrove was in?? Where is the Mangrove??
