It's definately a Vieja but I just can't put my finger on it. I am thinking a hybrid. That Carpinte is all male. So fishguts please give me a number on how many cichlids you have as of now in that tank. You have taken Jap style tanks to the EXTREME LOL!

ya i have to cut them in half this week and send half to my 180. but since u ask here is the run down.
1 jar, 2 carpintis, 1 veja syn, 2 jags, 3 perch, 1 grammode, 2 uros, 1 red tex
1 loiselli, 1 high fin shark, 1 syn cat, 1 stonefish, 1 pictus cat, 1 exodon,
1 midas, 1 low grade fh, 1 veja something, 2 african clawed frogs, 1 motoguense. so 25 unless ive missed something. im not going for japanese style but it just ended up that way. i plan on keeping jar,butti,2jags,stonefish,red tex were they are and moving the rest to the 180 cause they are smaller then the ones im leaving put so they can grow up together.

the biggest fish in the tank is the acara at 3"
hooooorahhh to overstocked tanks! once they start growing out ill move them or give them away. i just want to see them grow and be able to say i had them.

no its not a black belt. i have a bb but this guy has no belt. ill have to get another pic of him sometime today as hes had time to settle in and his color should be normal.

Only other Vieja I think it could be is V. heterospilus.
