Guess What's in the Box!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hmm what could it be....

My question would be why are you receiving an animal in a second hand Cricket box to begin with? I'd personally flip if I received anything I'd paid for that way..........

Maybe it was not shipped. Most local shops reuse cricket boxes to send animals home.

I got it at a pet store which is why it's in a cricket box which is actually handy way to send herps home since there's a section of screen for ventilation.

i think its an archer fish .they are kools

Nope, it's not a fish.

savannah monitor?

Nope, it's not a lizard, but they did have a few different sizes of savannah monitors in stock.

Some type of croc?

Now we're getting warmer!

Here she is, my new American alligator hatchling:

She in a 55 gallon aquarium for now, but I'm building her a much larger two-tiered cage (at least 4' x 8' x 4' with at least 12" of water depth) in the coming weeks. By the way, the water is all cloudy because she stirred up the sand even more than it already was; it's settled out pretty well by now. She's already feeding well on crickets, feeder goldfish, aquatic reptile pellets, and thawed pinkies, and her temperament is excellent, no biting or aggression whatsoever (and I intend to keep it that way through frequent handling sessions once she is settled in).

Any suggestions for names?
