Ya, I really got screwed on that one since it was "Sure, you can get it." at first that then turned into "It's going to get huge; get rid of it!" a few weeks later. And here I was getting ready to start building her new enclosure when I had to sell her...
Thankfully, she went to a good home thanks to the condition that I kept her in. She went to a reptile show with a friend who breeds reptiles and had a table a the show. A guy ended up buying her five minutes into the start of the show; he had been looking for a great looking alligator for a while and said that she had the brightest coloration he had seen yet.
