All this talk makes me miss my SVT Focus which had Tom's Turbo in it. Not as fas as you all but it would rail and as light as it was could jump off the line while racing in Philly. Looked stock as well which was awesome o get some money off of people...

Now I ride bikes which is almost scary fast but sooo much fun...

If you know how to drive your car cause idk me and my uncle race camaros and our street camaro eats mustangs up. And we have a 2002 camaro all silver were working on that we are putting a LS1 in with ls6 intake and some boltons with an aftermarket performance exhaust. And its going to be more of a street camaro. but i do agree you can beat camaros with a v6 if you know how to drive cause alot of people buy cars that are fast and cannot drive them to save their lives. My daily driver is a red 1997 dodge avenger (better on gas and looks good) and i beat firebirds with a 2.5 liter engine. but in the end it all comes down to the driver and how skilled they are.

my uncle has a 1968 camaro stock
the race car is 1989 all black camaro 575 HP its professional dragster ill take pics this weekend
2002 camaro all silver Its in the shop working on it right now
Grand national we just bought it and its fast 0-60 in 3.5 seconds ill take pics this weekend.

i love pontiacs. i have a 86 fiero and a 05 grand prix gtp. had a 73 formula 1 trans am with a 502 in it. :(

That and the secret that my V6 puts down more hp/tq than many of the bolt on LS__ cars. ;)

Snapped a couple of pics on the way to the aquarium earlier this week. Took the wing off and sold it. New wing on the way, so the rear is very plain for the moment.

zoo, how would you compare your cars overall to the older 88-93 fox body cars overall, stock that is. things as far as susp, quality, comfort, blah blah blah?

Depends on what you define as 'stock'.

I like fox bodies.... 90-03 only. I've had six of them (81,82,90,93,93,90). I'm not a fan of the non-airbag steering wheels, but I do love the old four eyes. The low end tq makes them fun. Easy to mod, everything is very basic and straight forward. Fox body's biggest stock downside is brakes and suspension. A quick pad change, slotted discs up front and stainless lines fix the brakes. Springs and dampers GREATLY improve the feel of the road. They sit an 1 1/2" too high (IMO) in stock form.

The 98 compared to the 00 are two very different animals. Both being Roush, they come with the suspension/brake upgrades. Right off the bat, the V6 out brakes the V8 (both with 13" all the way around). But this weekend, the V8 gets 14" 4 pistons to stop with.
The V6 is now set up with an aftermarket tubular suspension and is gutted (A/C, heat, stereo, insulation etc). Fun track car, not so fun street car. The V8 is a bit nose heavy, but much more well mannered as a street car.

As for power, V6 built motor with boost makes roughly 200 hp more than the boosted V8. But the power band is different. The V6 sees full tq by 2500 RPM, and had a 5600 RPM redline. The V8 starts making boost at 3000, and climbs evenly.

The 1970 Mach 1 is a whole different topic. Those things where good in the day, but like riding in a tank compared to cars of today...even with the upgrades done while restoring it.

leave the wing off. its sweet!
