actually the tank's parameters and temp were fine, when i took him out to dispose of him, i pumped his stomach and he had swallowed an entire chunk of powerbait, ultimately being the cause of his death:(

actually i have a clue, seeing as i am already keeping native species that i caught and they are doing great- my bluegill. so before you keep criticizing read my previous post

did you clean the tank before you put him in?
if you cleaned it did you use soap?
was there a filter?
if so did you cycle the filter?
did you use water from the pond you caught him in?
if you used tap water, did you use a dechlorinator (start-right)?
when you called me you told me he had jumped out, had he done it a second time?

i know that. i was talking to ethnics. i was pretty much stating something in agreement to what you said, so im not sure how you took that the wrong way, but sorry:)

I thought captive fish were made by elves that built them from mud and injected them with life. Wild fish, on the other hand, are a mystery.

ive caught and kept a 7inch brook trout in the past, and they are a little more difficult than brim or bass, and he survived for 2 years
