Guilty of an impulse buy >_<

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hmm, interesting I never knew that - I might get some of those ammonia removing ceramics AC makes and use one of those and one regular

The point of ceramics is for beneficial bacteria to grow on them. That bacteria eats ammonia. So ammonia removing ceramic rings are kind of pointless as well.

True I guess those are just for ammonia spikes :nilly:

Well, it would be haha, except out of fear he was backing away the pleco swam at him and he took a nip at his tail -___- at least he's decided he isn't edible lol

He's already regained his personality, all it took was a little food persuasion :P and so far my GT has been smart enough to just completely stay out of his way, doesn't try taking the O's pellets or anything, just picks around at the ones he isn't going for. Hell the O hasn't even made a legitimate run at trying to eat any of the danios yet lol. Very happy I went ahead and got him I think he's gonna be okay :headbang2

I've kept oscars with GT's twice now, never had any problem. But then again they were not the only fish in the tank, nor the dominant fish in the tank.

they're definitely the dominant forces in the tank, I think the fact that my GT is a female and already a good bit smaller than the oscar might end up being the reason it works. I think i'm already more attached to the O than the GT though lol I can already hand feed him pellets :P my bichirs in my other tank are still my favorites though xD

watch that bichir with the O, when my O was about 5" it started looking at my 4" bichir as a worm. He would slowly follow him and be fixated on him. So I removed him before I came home to no bichir who now shares a seperate grow out with my BGK and Chocolate cichld.
