A common saying here: never trust a catfish.
I would think that a gulper would eventually eat a trachy or jag or die trying.

Hi guys I just wanted to see if anyone has any info for me , I got my gulper back in February this year and he’s been fine eating swimming around active as normal , but suddenly this month his just hasn’t been coming out of the shelter I have for him , he is eating still hell come out at night eat and go right back in , usually I could just turn the tank light of and he’ll come out but now I’m lucky if he even comes out at night at all besides eating here and there .just wondering if that’s normal to anyone else
They are nocturnal so this isn’t uncommon. Make sure ur water parameters are w/in a normal range.Hi guys I just wanted to see if anyone has any info for me , I got my gulper back in February this year and he’s been fine eating swimming around active as normal , but suddenly this month his just hasn’t been coming out of the shelter I have for him , he is eating still hell come out at night eat and go right back in , usually I could just turn the tank light of and he’ll come out but now I’m lucky if he even comes out at night at all besides eating here and there .just wondering if that’s normal to anyone else
I get that , but usually I could just be in the room (tanks in my game room) I’d turn of the tank light and he’ll come right out , but now it could be completely dark and he won’t come out and swim around . The parameters have been the same since I got him nothing to high nothing wrong water clear he, I put to feeders in the tank he ate one at some point went back in his rock and hasn’t been back out sinceThey are nocturnal so this isn’t uncommon. If well fed and not hunger then it’ll stay in hiding. That’s what it does. Probably just settled in the tank. I don’t think this is too unnatural. I’d watch for any obvious sign of parasite or disease since feeding live food. Would try some cut up fish soaked in a vitamin solution.I get that , but usually I could just be in the room (tanks in my game room) I’d turn of the tank light and he’ll come right out , but now it could be completely dark and he won’t come out and swim around .
