Gulper food

Just got my first 2 gulper cats. Not new to catfish but what do you feed these guys? They are far more predictive then any other cat I have kept. I want healthy food not goldfish.

Well getting them to eat shouldn't be a problem they will eat anything but really the healthiest thing would be a variety diet. Do pellets (hikari, or spectrum are nice) also tilapia filets, prawns, ect...

So it's day 1 since my gulpers arrival and they won't eat. I tried frozen krill, live blood worms, and live rainbow fish are in with them. And nothing. They just swim against the filter and around the tank. Am i doing something wrong they aren't super fat so they aren't stuffed full.

Yeah, they are just spooked most likely...these bad boys will EAT. Just don't over feed them...smaller meals at regular intervals is the way to start. Since they are a catfish they'll eat about anything...tried to get them on a balanced and varied diet.
 
frozen shrimp is what I fed mine. Sometimes I would feed it smelts too but sometimes if the gulpers bite the smelts they break and like cloudy stuff comes out.
