They are only poisonous in the wild because they eat poisonous caterpillars. In captivity they lose their poison and ones that are captive bed never have it.
 
oh nice are they colorful red ones?? i did not know that. I do have a frog enclosure for tree frogs. Poison dart frogs i thought were tiny though? I think pet stores would buy them. In the wild I think gulpers eat baby snakes also. THey fold in the stomach so a 2 foot snake would not be hard to eat.
 
My lfs sells large tadpoles do you think that would be okay to feed?or just stick to shrimp and maybe fish filets
