I know some of us have both and some of us have one or the other. Which one do you like better and why?

I have both, but I admit that I've always been more interested in the Old World Knives (Chitala, Notopterus, Xenomystus, Papycranos) from Africa and Asia. They've always seem more powerful and have a "wilder" look to me

I like them all the featherback knifefishes, the ghost knifefishes and the naked back knifefishes. Onlt those that get up to 12"+. Anything smaller then they are ignored.

i votied af/asia as my favorite two are from there. but after that the next like 5 are SA knives. I just don't like the knives from af/asia that have to be kept by themselves.. never a fan of one fish tanks

I've always thought you'd be more into SA Knives since you work with them too Which Knives are your favorite?

x. nigri and the clown/royals are my 1-2


I really like black ghosts, brown ghosts, A. bonapartii, S. macrurus, P. hasemani (males), R. rostratus for the SA side though haha. Liek I said... I like the 2 af/asian and then 6 straight amazon guys.

If the aba abas and the p. afers in the world could be with other fish they would jump in there before they look cool. i just don't like single species tank fish very well.

I voted old world, love knives from the chitala genus and papycranos but also i love e- eels and gymnotus sp. so it was a close call.

I voted Asian and African because they usually get bigger and they are easier to care for.
