Had to put a little sponge filter in my 15g shrimp tank. I personally needed something to break the water surface tension (from what I had read online) and a little circulation for the heat.

all i am using is my bubbler once a day for an hour a day at most to break the surface.

Add more moss or something in the tank since its a bit bare... After all shrimps like a lot of cover and vegetation
