Get convict cichlids, preferably 3 to 6 pairs and set up a breeding or feeding program. Just put 1 pair per 10g and they will do the rest. And when you are raising fry in one tank, feeding your bass with fry from another tank then you have a third tank already breeding. FLAWLESS. Just you need alot of tanks and convicts. And convicts hit the 5-6" mark so you could feed them to your bass for life, with supplumental flake foods of course.

Oh! And you could buy a pair of my shellies here! They also breed like flies!

The more I read on covicts the more I plan on doing it. I have a 10 gal with guppies and a 30 gal thats not being used plus the bass tank oh and also the tank in the living room.

So I was thinking of using the 30 gal for breeding convicts (3 pairs) and the 10 gal for storing the fry.

This should work fairly good right?

people get 10 gallon tanks, then put in a divider and have 2 pairs in one 10g tank. Then the adults raise the fry, so for right now you could get away with the parents raising the fry but when the bass gets larger and you need larger food then you will need a growout tank becasue the adult convicts wont keep their fry with them forever.
