Hey guys, I had a spare 55 gallon tank laying around and i though i might just put some guppies in there so they can eat, grow, and breed :headbang2. If i bought around 100 just feeder guppies and put them in there with filtration and all that, would they breed, AND if they do, and i don't remove the fry, will any survive? I will provide a lot of cover and it will be a heavily planted tank.
Thanks

they most definitely will breed and from what you described the fry will survive. As a matter of fact, before you know it you'll have so many you won't know what to do with them all. They are prolific breeders LOL

make sure you have tons of places for the offspring to hide and they should survive. youll have a great guppy set up

I've heard of breeders using balled up fishing line as means of protection against being eaten. Which is a good idea if you don't want java moss or large amounts of vegetation.

ill go with java moss and if that doesn't work ill try out the fish line method :)
