..ok this is my guppy making machine... quick vid,
its a 10 gallon planted
35 gallon filter

one of the red females and the yellow are about to pop any day now..all ready have about 100 in the tank
these are my feeders for my Mottled Sculpin

Healthy looking fish.......(Personally, I would stick with Convict feeders......)But your tank is amazingly clean and active......Those females are really healthy looking, FAT and BRIGHT fins......

^_^ thank you they eat like little piggies and the tank is very filtered, the plants grow like crazy..witch helps allot ^_^

the larger females are about a year and a half.. and each an spit out about 70-90 babies at a time...

i make sure to feed them allot to cut back on loss of babies to the parents...and my little snail clean up crew picks up the left overs..

I feed them betta pellets (left over from breeding bettas) peas, shrimp, clams, blood worms, chopped up night crawlers, egg yolk, any fish we happen to have in the fridge ..they will eat every thing and seem to grow bigger and faster when i feed them every thing i can think of that they might eat..oh yeah and snails..i crush them from my 3 gallon that is empty at the moment..100s of rams horn snails..i smash them and drop them in the guppy tank..yum yum.. ^_^

how do you keep your fry from being eaten. i have floating plants, caves, plants on bottom, etc. but i still have to seperate them. or they end up guppy food instead of big fish food.

i feed the parents ALLOT..over filter the tank and keep snails to eat the extras

UPDATE!! of the guppy tank ^_^ have a video but it will take to long to upload sooo..later for now here are some pics.

Recently i had someone tell me on another thread female guppies only have 5-7 and there is no way my females are giving me 60-80 or more....oh yeah? here you go ^_^ i boxes my one docile female, most of them will not give birth if i move them....she already had dropped about 2 dozen in the tank....then i released her and she had another cloud in the tank but here......and some shots of the tank ^_^ pics start when i first put her in the box...a few hours later...a few more hours...and the next day after she was done and all skinny

I separate the pregnant females but so far ive killed three batches. one o fthe mothers gave birth while I was at school and she ate the babies the other one was during a water change were 2 fish got into the box and bye bye babies. the last one was she just gave birth with out me separating her well ll have another chance in 24 days or so
