Yeah, I've bred guppies as feeders and for fun.

My experience:
For feeders you've got to start big or it's pointless. Grab about three males and about twenty females and jump-start a tank of around 40 gallons. Add tons of floating plants, live bacteria from an established filter and feed twice a day and you'll actually get enough fry for it to make sense.

Check some of these out! http://guppyfocus.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

x2 honestly after months of breeding them in a 10 gallon for feeders i kinda realized it just doesnt work. not enough space and not enough females. go big or dont bother with guppies for feeders

i just bought 5 male guppies and 3 female guppies and a breeding trap / net , when can i breed them and how do i breed them , ? write back asap , thanks will

Usualy 1 male to 2 females (guppies get all the luck!), you don't want to put 5 males and 3 females together or the males will harass the females so much they'll abort any young.
Basically just put them together in a tank (10g will do fine), as soon as you see the females starting to grow (gravid spots will become more noticeable also) move the males into a seperate tank.
With 3 females I would probably use a tank divider in a 10g at first, stick 2 females in one side and the other in the other side, pick the 2 best males and put one in each side, once you remove the males you can take out the divider and leave the females to it. 23 days later (I think it's 23) you should see fry, then you can move the fry into a 'fry tank' (I use another 10g for my Endlers) and either repeat the process with different males or leave the females to use the sperm they already hold for their 2nd/3rd litter(s).
