i have guppies in my 10gal for my cray to eat but hes too slow. i have about 6 females and 1 male. all the females were pregnant at the same time and now i have a bunch of fry. some were eaten but i still have about 30 of them
my 10g is heavily planted and the parents don't eat the fry. they seem to do really well in there. I just made sure that the filter wouldn't suck the fry in though.
oh yeah the filter..gt a spone like the ones the sell for filters the black square ones and cut a hole in it and put it on the intake of the filter...fry saver.
I wouldn't be to concerned with one guppy baby. I had 1 male, 3 females, now about a year or so later, i have atleast 50...
I don't pay attention to fry anymore, i think the tank has reached carrying capacity though.
Wonderful tank it is, really self reliant, water prams stay right. waters just a little brown from tannins, all my crabs and lobsters have managed to breed.
