guppy tank

Just google plastic grass mats and it will give you several contacts, most come in 10-12" squares so fit right into a tank and they can be run (without soap) in the dish washer between uses.

Whenever I breed guppies I seem to get a couple cannibals.

you need a breeding net and a 2/3 way breeder after the guppy gives birth you put the fry into the breeding net and wait for it to get big enough to release it with its mom and pop

my guppies do great in just a smaller tank (10 gal) with plants to hide in. i don't make much of an effort trying to protect them cuz i don't want one of those crazy overpopulated tanks so the bigger mollies always eat the new babies unless they are well fed. my guppies never eat their babies, it's always the mollies. also, guppy babies do better in warmer water (80ish) but apparently keeping the water warm all the time decreses the overall lifespan of the older fishies, so really they'll do fine with water a little less warm.
