do the female guppys colors matter? just say a you have a black guppy male and a green guppy female, do you get half black and green fry?
 
The very short answer is Yes.

Dominant and recessive genes come into play but basically if everything was equal and they had 4 fry, 2 would look mixed, one would look like the father, and one would look like the mother. 10,000 other factors come into play but that's a good basic guide.
 
Sort of, it depends on their parental mix as well, should be about 25% green, 25% black, and 50% half black.
