Yea i know canadian ones wont breed so thats why ive been collecting in the yard. Yea meats and dairy are not good to put in the compost the rott instead of just molding up like anything else.

If your worms you bought were canadian nightcrawlers they won't breed very well in a bin or not at all. You need either red worms or african nightcrawlers. Use african nightcrawlers (trout worms) if you can since they are bigger.

Just a random tip, watch out with African nightcrawlers (Eudrillus eugeniae)- they have no natural mechanism to deal with freezing temperatures. If you live in cold climates, they would do better in a garage or laundry room than to be left outside to catch the harsh wrath of winter.

Bella has talked me into starting a worm farm... I will keep you guys updated on how it goes.

meat by product are not a bad thing to use... chicken is a no no... grinding up bones is perfect... composting is that composting... canadians crawlers need to be kept pretty cool they like the cold moist dirt to breed... best bet for them be a basement or garage in the winter and you should be good... africans require alot of extra care... if yor PH in the soil changes worms die... temp goes to cold worms die too hot worms die... P.I.T.A is what they are.... red wigglers well if you cant get them to reproduce(ill edit myself)... now if you wanted to go a better way... then buy worms in bulk get a pinky pump and stuff the worms with pellets, shrimps, silversides clams cockles you name it add it... re freeze them and add a power head to the bottom of the tank for when you throw them in...
