Gut Loading Refrigerated Earthworms

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ha ha the rays are eating everything fine, they eat shrimp, worms and all that jazz. I do appreciate all the info on your various feeder farms youve got established there but I dont think ill be starting one up. And again, i was just asking how gut load worms and if it was possible to do so in the fridge, which i now understand. I do really like the idea tho from bridgefisher about sticking sticks and other vitamins and what not into the shrimp, thanks for that, ill need to give it a shot. thanks for the info

I recommend feeding a hybrid earthworm from Earthworm Organics (http://store.earthwormorganics.net/cultured-wormscrawlers.html) ...They are raised entirely on organic feed and grown in organic compost. They are very nutritious for your rays. They are bred year round by Ira in Wisconsin. I have ordered 1000's from him and they are always exceptional quality and live for months. They do best when fed on dried grasses (alfalfa) and grains.

They prosper at 60 degrees to 80 degrees F and should not be refrigerated. This makes they easy to keep in large containers in the garage vs. the fridge.
