Modest those pix are good!! :D

In the second original pic I have to guess it to be a Zonatus. I was at a not so LPS and he has 3" Zons in stock. I wanted to get one but I know the aggression level and don't need that..

Anyway, the younger Zons at this place had some reds in the face such as in the second pic and the black bar was about the same too.

I have a Gutt about the same size as the one in the first pic. Colors are about the same along with the black bars too...

I forgot my point of all of this...LMAO:ROFL:

I didn't want to do it but you've forced my hand. Hence, my worst photos ever.

Here she is after I added a trio of juvenile P. synspilum to her tank, who she hated. If you can even tell that that is a fish in my photos. I'm not disputing what you're saying, I'm simply saying it's not 100% infallible.

lol...the pics aren't that bad...a little dark maybe but definitely a beautiful, jumbo fish. :headbang2

I also see what you're saying so I suppose it's certainly possible that both fish are zonatus. My gut feeling is that they're not but as I now see, anything is possible. :)

guys i just dont see it as a Zonatus , this guy is at least 12-14" doesnt have the real strong blue down the side[verticle]and has red outline around the tail and top fin.maybe a bad pic im showing ,however he is trying to find his place in the new tank and constinatly fighting with my oscar.so he may be showing a little stress.ill try to get a few better pics tomarow, also look at the speckling around his mouth.[again red]

the 2nd link is a zonatus that you said did not look like your fish??????
i have to disagree with you disagreeing with me!!!!
