Guys I need help I've been wanting my 22inch RTC to have a friend in my 1050gallon because he's always lonely so I ordered a 19inch in my LFS but I am scared that the bigger one might hurt the smaller one.How do I avoid fighting when I get the smaller RTC

Just make sure you feed him lot. I wouldn't be worried about fighting. I'd be more worried about the new one becoming lunch

IME they will establish a pecking order and keep enforcing it sometimes. It most likely won't amount to any significant damage but minor abrasions and tattered fins, especially caudal and maybe pectoral.

I don't think it is lonely. They are not shoaling fish. I think you are anthropomorphizing it.

Damn I had to look that word up. I believe rtc are solitary and agree with thebiggerthebetter .
