Guys what the heck is this!!!?

You will most likly not see them in such great numbers in tanks that contain bottom feeders like corys and loaches. Both will eat planaria, however in a tank with a gar it may not be a viable option. I just wanted to mention that as an FYI. But if your gar is a messy eater and crumbs drop into the substrate with no scavengers to eat it, it will definatly cause the issue you are experiancing. As advised vacume your substrate to clean up any uneaten food, keep the water clean and you will maintane managable numbers.
 
My fry actually like eating it. If you really want it gone though treatment with prazipro will do the trick but sometimes it requires a repeat treatment.

Water changes are all you need. I remember when it happened in one of my tanks a long time ago. It freaked me out but I did my research and made it all better. It hasn't happened to me at all again. Then again, I sure do love my bottom feeders. :)

It might help to do a gravel vac when you do your WCs. That should keep the numbers of planaria down better than just a water change alone.

Ok guys I noticed the leaf fish eating them or something to them I came back and there wasn't anymore??
As for bottom feeders what are some good bottom feeders that would go with my gar think a yoyo loach will be ok?and I've seen some giant corys in my lfs ??
