Guys who own pits and other big dogs, tell me more about this

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i think these are bred more for looks than function. Pit bulls should not be heavier than 80, from what i've read. These guys, while attractive, are too massive for their own health. I can almost guarantee they'll have joint problems. Pits frames aren't meant to support that bulk

thanks for your reply Onion. I was thinking they are breeding them for size as this guy is like over 100. I've seen normal pits which are big but man these are just massive. Looks very intimidating but the person says they are wonderful with children.

well I must say one thing

that spiked necklace on that dog does not do well to invite a good image as those are not purely decorative. I can see if its wearing a faux spike necklace but the first row in the first pictures in no way looks faux

ban the deed not the breed is the motto and I am sure they are lovely dogs but the look of that first picture would put me off personally

thats a bully pit, bully pits are the really bulky ones, average between 60 and 120lbs. A true american pit will average about 40 to 50 lbs and isnt built like that. You should stop by the pitbull forum much more info then here.
heres my pit,

The owner is a female who owns a lingerie store and when I went in there with my wife she invited us to take a look at that specific pitbull (she has other pits in the store) Was just asking about this "bully style" pits which I am guessing she is into pits that are muscular and big.

pioneer thanks for the info. I rarely go to the lounge, mainly hang out in the catfish area but just heard about bully pits today and wanted to know more about them so I decided to ask in the lounge area.

I am a huge pitbull fan. Always always always remember the power of these guys. Even playing with my "big girl" as i call her, I am always a bit worried about what could happen just knowing how strong she is. And my pit is a normal, maybe even a lil fat, so i cant imagine what these monsters can do if the yget carried away.
