Guys who own pits and other big dogs, tell me more about this

i recently got 2 pups. i got a razor edge female thats 3 months old. she med. build but will be ripped. not really a bully,but deff a bully type pit.
the other pup we got looks just like the male below. hes a badass gotti. hes short,stocky and just wide and thick. big ass head. hes all for looks im sure. my past bullies tend to gas out faster than a game pit. the female i got is more game than anything. pics later tonight!!!

They're still used as "catch dogs" for wild boar and I can assure you that the smaller more athletic dog would do a much better job. After all, they have to wear Kevlar vests to protect them from the boar's tusks. I doubt a heavier dog could be as agile. Either way, some people can be so convinced that their opinion is 100% correct it's not really worth it to try to educate them otherwise.

EDIT. I reread and forgot you said they hunters make their dogs wear kevlar's to protect them. which betters my opinion that, those dogs are sissys.

You're probably right. Here is one of the smaller more docile that grow here in the southeast U.S.

There was actually a documentary about this on the Discovery channel last night titled "Pig Bomb" as it seems to be a worldwide crisis.

man pits are crazy i never thought some could do what they do but they prove me wrong!

but i dont see why yall are here arguing about pits. there breed is being torn apart by idiotic people that are producing puppies right and left!

so what im saying is quit fighting like sissy's over what a pit may and may not be able to do and fight against the people that are breeding these dogs for wrong reasons!!

I'm hoping you've gotten some good research done and know what you are going to do.

For the record, pits, bandogges, Dogo's ect. are used to catch boars/wild pigs for hunters, there are also "Hogdog" rodeo's where they take a wild boar/maybe pigs with sawed off tusks and let the dogs after them, not to kill them, but to bring them down. It's another one of those family events... Since boars have such tough skin, people who want to track them without causing any real harm will send pitties and other strong and agile dogs with kevlar vests after them, once the dogs have successfully gotten the boar the handlers will catch and tie it up.
