I thought that Melafix and Pimafix can deplete oxygen from a tank by feeding some forms of bacteria making the fish breath faster. Salt is the better treatment IMO.

agreed. Never heard of this depletion but melafix is not a risk i'm willing to take. since the armatus is "alright" now, no point of meds. salt and clean water will do the trick.

Call me a wuss if you want but when I was trying to pick the armatus up from the floor I was worried about getting bitten again lol.

I am totally with you on that bro. I got bitten a few months ago hand feeding a fillet. His fang punctured my thumb straight thru.
