After my search for at least 3 months, I finally found Gymnogeophagus Terrapurpura! My boy @C. Breeze hooked me up with a great deal. I ordered 6 of them, And they arrived Tuesday. He packaged them incredibly well, and they came lively, and ready to be released! My plan is to get a pair from the group, and keep them, while selling the rest. Then, I move them to a patio pond, which is either 36 or 42g, I can’t remember. I plan them to breed, and sell the fry. They can have up to 600 fry a spawn, and three spawns in a year! So, that’s my plan.
They are currently not in the patio pond, but In a 55g acrylic. I built a stand for it, believe it or not, which came with plenty of problems. It’s super simple. If anybody wants to see, I can show you And explain. The substrate is very deep sand, and there are driftwood, rocks, and whatever I could scrounge up from my decoration pile. I piled Anacharis, and added A water hyacinth and Water Lettuce. Some sand is matured from my 55g. All the decorations were also previously in my seeded patio pond outside for weeks. They haven’t eaten yet.
They are not photogenic right now, and hide in the roots of the Water Hyacinth and Water Lettice, but here are some pics I got. These are photos from the day I got them.
