yeah raise it slowly to about 1/4 sea water they can handle half fresh and half salt water any were in there is good but just raise it slowly they need salt to survive so do it but not to fast like said ubove

can you use aquarium salt for the change to brackish i had the same problem as u with my store

But no Aquarium Salt is different than Marine Salt. You need real Marine Salt.

My intentions were not to set up a brackish tank but if you saw how cute this thing is you would set one up too. My LFS is a dink for telling me it was freshwater and perhaps I was a sucker for believing him. Live and learn I guess.

i was stung by the douche in the shop telling me its a fresh water eel. he's really cool. seems to be ok in my care. eats well and is growing pretty steady. i add a chefs measure of aquarium salt when i do water changes. i'll be honest i dont really know much about brackish.
