Those eels will definitely surprise. Double hinged jaw can open pretty wide. How big were the gobies?

Easily done for the eels. Mine took apart a Monodactylus sebae that was at least 3" long and 5" tall.

my eel doesnt bother my fishes unless they come into his territory he prob doesnt attack them becuase he might think they will fight back my four inch datnoid that i had shared his territory my archers are too fast for him to catch and i had fiddlers with him and he wouldnt mess with them im going to be adding another dat, more fiddlers, monos and possibaly some nerite snails and some sort of other bottom dweller to the tank but i think my goby died since he didnt really move before he dissapeared then my eel ate him

Both Dragon Gobies were about 5 inches long but skinny. I rescued them from wallmart. I had them in a 50 gal with him. and they mysteriously disapeared withing a week of eachother. I've moved the Eel to a 20 gal where I had him before and now he seems to be on hunger strike. . Ohh god.. Maybe he's just full still

Or maybe the 20 gallon is too small for him, space-wise?
I successfully moved a G. tile from a 125 to a 55 without any hunger strike issues, but a 55 is much bigger than a 20 gallon.

Did you ever find the gobies? I had a g.tile rip a 5" archer to pieces years ago, so I'm not surprised that it would do that. My current G. tile doesn't bother the snowflake eel tankmate at all, but the snowflake is somewhat bigger than the g. tile

G. tile = "snowflake eel"
Does it not?
