I ended up picking up all three. Awesome because when I got the first one I didnt even have a fresh water tank running. Now they are all in a 29 gallon tank. It should last them about 6 months or so and then I will upgrade to a 55. :headbang2

Nice! You sure they'll all fit in that tank for that long? I've barely had mine for 3 months, give or take, and they've already hit 5-6" from the 2" mark.

Awesome fish! So you plan on leaving them in there for another 6 months or just another 3? If the rate of growth is anything like the first 3 I'd imagine they wouldn't fit in there for another 6 ya know

Glad to see you got the trio and looks like the ick is all cleared up. All feeding well I presume?
Picked me up a trio at beginning of July, can't wait to see them all swimming with my rays.......

Im joking guys. I was getting a 5x2 but the dude flaked on me. So, Im getting a 7x2 this weekend for them.

They are all eating well. I keep mosquito fish in there constantly but unfortunately this little dude has set up shop in my back yard where I get the feeders! Actually he is no problem, he just leaves when I go down there.

Once they go into the 210 I will fatten them up solid and once they hit 6" or so I will try and get them off live and start feeding them frozen mackerel, bonita, scads, mullet, squid, shrimp, etc that I catch and freeze my self. I actually have a freezer full of that stuff now as a fishing guide so for once in my fish keeping career food will literally be a non issue.

They are funny though, one (the middle sized one) is the most bold. You can see it in this pic, he isnt afraid of me one bit and occasionally does the armatus head shake and gill flare at me. The other two are crazy skittish and wig out all of the time. I hope they chill soon!

Keep them well fed, they tend to beat on each other.

Haha that's a relief! You had me worried for a sec.

Mine used to do the head shake and gill flare all the time at me when they were little, but now that they're bigger, they rarely do it, if ever.

I am interested in seeing the outcome of 3 armatus cohabing. i wanted to try it but people always told me it is very risky. Keep us updated!

If people never took risks though half of these fish wouldn't be in our tanks haha

I think it'll be okay, as long as fish that they say you shouldn't cohab are in cohab since a small small size like those guys it should be fine! I've never heard of a group of fish going berserk on each other that grew up together
