It's a female red eared slider. And I sure hope so!!!! XD

I'd definitely not add them together, unless you want the bocourti to missing pieces

Well then I guess I'll try it when I get back from Cali in two weeks. Thanks everyone for your advice. More is certainly welcome.

I keep 3 red eared sliders in a my aquarium with oscars and other cichlids. They are like 5 inches and don't bite the fish. But they have been trained to not eat fish by not being given live food and having lived with fish since babies. Either your turtle might be scared or taste the fish.

It's worth a try. Just be prepared to move one of them somewhere else if there is any biting or bullying....

I have a 14 inch Bocourti and along with other cichlids with an eight in african sideneck turtle in my 240. No problems at all.

i have a red ear slider a painted and a Chinese soft shell turtle, but any way i had a electric blue hap in with my slider and they were ok for a couple months but the the slider got him out of no where. so becareful keep a close eye on them!

Well luckily I've only ever tried to feed my turtle fish once, and that was a few years ago. Interestingly enough it ate one of the fish I put in but then refused to eat the other. Maybe I'm in luck. More opinions welcome.
