H.O.T.Magnum not working!

Alright guys I've broken down the HOT again and I think I have discovered the problem....Upon taking another look at the impeller I notice that the blue part of it has split into pieces or,the topmost part of the blue section has come away from the rest of it.This smaller top part seems to be made of plastic and the other part metal.I will let the impeller dry out and then try to re attach both pieces with silicone and hope that holds until I can get another impeller...Note,although the pieces are apart they are both still on the shaft of the impeller.

sounds like you broke it down too far. you should have stopped when you got to the impeller.
I'd try super glue instead of silicone. just don't get any of either on the shaft.
 
What I meant by broke it down was merely taking the filter apart so it could be cleaned out.I did not notice the impeller separation yesterday but here it is today and it had to have been that way for a few days.I'm now wondering how it happened and if my fix does not work,who I can order an impeller from......

I've always gotten my impellers from my LFS, but amazon has some.
