Thanks for sharing. I was just looking for some photos of these guys. Yours looks great thats so funny how many sensory pits they have no wonder they are known to get HITH. I love her color. I can't want for mine to get here. What size tank is that? How do you know its a female is there a way to sex them? Or did you have a bunch and you went by what fish was larger to get an idea of the sex?

how big are yours? they'll put size on in no time. i grew mine for about 3 months in a 20g until i set up the 125g. when i put them in there they took off in growth. she's in a 125g. im not 100% on the sex yet. from what i've seen from peters and JD's experience with my other ones she appears to be female. JD purchased the other 4 that i was growing out, and i believe he said he has 1M and 3F. the females have the red under their chins more and get the rose color on their cheeks. males also have a larger forehead than the females

I put the order in I have to wait till next week they will be shipped out on Monday. They are said to be 3" since my other cichlids are around 3-4" I'm going to let him grow out with the rest in the 100 Gal.
