Nice! What are the sizes on these guys? And how long have you had them when they reached such sizes? Hows the growth on the tatauaia, vitattus and the odoe?

Im thinking about getting an odoe also. can you please give me some tips in taking care of them? And their growth? Thanks!

moe214 sorry i havent been on in awhile, just bought my house. My 2 cents about tats. Try to keep a school if you can, they will compete with each other and feed significantly better and most likely break off live and take pellets.also they love a fast current to make their food "take off" and triggers a bite. They generally arent aggressive towards other tankmates although they will eat other slender tankmates that are up to half their size. Growth is very slow i had 5-7" in 2 years, getting them to about 13" also i have had good luck mating them with a BAFT and other predatory fish.

I had my tatauaia in a mixed silvery toothy fish school with atf, other payaras, barracuda, etc. He did fine and ate extremely aggressively. I agree with the others that say they're slow growing. The fish obviously got larger over the course of the year or so I had him before I sold him, but he grew so slowly that it wasn't obvious.
