Yes they both survived. I picked them up by the tail and yanked out with pliers. This happened months a part. Funny thing was they ate with the barbs stuck in them like nothing was wrong. Once pulled out they behaved like it was a normal day. Tuff little boogers

Both out backwards. The aparicios did not go all the way through like the flowers. The barb that got the flower was a lot thinner. I did not pull through because the barb was so much wider at the base I did not want to cause more damage by it making the hole bigger. They pulled out farely easy.
