Hello. I decided to get another tank and I can't use a HOB filter because the tank will be too close to the wall and I was wondering if any one has used the Hagen Fluval U4 filter???? Thank-you.

Hello. I don't have the room for a canister. Why don't you like the internal filter's???

Well, first off it's the obvious eye sore. Having a big filter hanging in the tank isn't for me. Second, the filtration capacity is pretty small. You'd have to be changing carbon etc, pretty often.

Why is it you don't have the space for a canister? A fluval 305 or 405 hides under a tank rather nicely.

Normally Fluval filters work well, I've always used them in my turtle tanks with decent results, but the bigger question is how big a tank and what are you going to stock it with?

Thank you everyone for your help I appreciate it. I was able to figure out a way to use a Penguin 350 filter like I wanted to. It will go over the tank . Thanks again.
