I would think that the mouse would be at least partially dissolved if it had been in that drink any length of time. That said, the FDA allows a certain amount of contaminates in our food.

I heard years ago from a lecturing immunologist that there was no such thing as a chocolate allergy---that people who were allergic to chocolate actually had a cockroach allergy and were reacting to the cockroach parts in the chocolate. A quick search pulled up articles confirming this.

^actually, reacting to chocolate is possible, but it's a missing enzyme that causes it, similar to lots of asians not being able to digest milk.
