I have three petsmarts, two petcos near me . I feel bad for the guy trying to make it in his fish store in the middle . Thats why I go to the little guy. You pay more but I feel better. Plus , I hate getting ick in my tank from the petsmart.
I don't know about you guys in the states but the petmarts here sell adult to semi-adult discus for like $500 a piece!!! Mind you they are interesting strains but $500 for a discus with ich 
I never deal with any big business as long as I can help it. Those franchise pet stores don't give a **** about people, they only care about making a buck. Personally I go to Fish stores that deal only in fish and maybe a few other thing's, at least they care about my tank and how I feel about it. If people don't go to those big corporate stores and only deal with the little guy who knows what he's actually doing then it will be good for everybody, well maybe it won't be good for big corporation's but so what they don't care about the customers or even their own employees. Power to the people!
well, I just got on a plane, flew to petsmart corporate headquarters, and then sat there for four whole days trying to hock up a loogie (is that how you spell it?) big enough to spit on petsmart, but I couldn't, so I came home.

Me at corporate pet store....Hi do you guys have any african cichlids....(employee to me) what are those???? whatever we got are over in our fish dept. (with every fish we have) in our 10 fish tanks.
YOu could not pay me enough money to ever buy fish from petsmart of petco ever again. Sorry, but MOST chain stores are crap when it comes to fish.
