As much as everyone bashes petsmart there are still hundreds of thousands who go there and if it wasnt for stores like this fish keeping would slowly float away because not every town has a lfs. The 2 petsmarts i go to are great. the ppl know me by name and they know what they are doing. I like the fact that you can go into a store like this and purchase a fish at a good price and if something happens they will take it back. Most lfs wont take dead fish or sick fish u purchase from them. As many negatives there are about the fish at petsmart there are just as many positives

I really like my petsmart. They have better deals then petco it seems and I don't have to ask them any questions

Come down to Silverdale, WA. The LFS are so crappy, they make Petsmart look legit. I frequently goto Petsmart to buy both fish items and livestock. Around here, their fish employees are around 30-40 years old and have a lot of experience with fish.
I'm not saying, don't shop at Petsmart; I go there a lot. But, if you want Petsmart to change: complain, refuse to buy the "inappropriate" items or take your business elsewhere.
It's not just Petsmart, EVERYONE does it, even many LFS. They will only change when we get active and make a change, DUH!
