I have been relocating most my tanks in order to installing tile flooring in what will be my fish room. As I was tearing down my 150g tank I found myself moving the rock work and driftwood into another tank as to preserve the hair algae that has grown on it. I was wondering if anyone else actually likes the way the algae looks and has added it to the aguascaping of the aquarium.

Sorry the best pics I can come up with for this. I'll add more pics once the 150g is back up and running later today.

First setup without the algae,

Now with the mature algae growth,

I don't know, the after pics the tank looks filthy:screwy: Will see how it looks once set back up.

Dude, three posts in 2 minutes:screwy: Maybe time for you to discover the "Edit/Delete Message" button.

maybe he just wants to qet his post count up?....

anyway yeah i like hair algae too. im gonna be setting up a 30g figure 8 puffer that im gonna run for a month empty but keep feeding it so i can get nice hair algae all over the driftwood in there. i like the way it flows with the water, makes it looks more natural and realistic i think

I like the slate better myself. But it does give you a nice planted look with less effort.

No rampant cases of BBA here. I have them on some of my driftwoods.
