Many plants you buy at a LFS come from big supplier who grow their plants emersed. That is why they look so nice and lush sitting in their tanks for a few days. But once you put them in your tank for a few days they start to die off as they transition to a submerged state. This is why I like buying plants from fellow hobbyists where I know the plants have been in water for a long time.

I agree. Most of my plants come from forum members, usually free of charge. :)

Some members from another forum have suggested for me to cut (trim) the grass down to about 3-4 inches. Any suggestions on how it should be done or how much? Thanks

You can try it, but I'm not sure if that will help. Those leaves will pretty much die off completely and new growth will emerge. I bought some potted micro swords from a LFS. Been about 2 monhts now and I'm barely starting to see new growth. The old leaves have just sat there covered in algae because they aren't growing. You need to be patient and wait out the new growth.
