Hairy Puffers - have some and need help :)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello thanks for the reply scorp, unfortunately I took the female back yesterday as she ended up attacking Fitzgig 4-5 times in an hour, I caught the inital attack on camera vid which will update later to show initial. What drew the line was the frequency, she ripped his tail and also at one point lifted him out the water into the lid. Not all bad news though the manager is going to give her a good home. As to Ftizgigs tail now, it is a little raggedy and possibly white edging, have added melafix minimal dose to help hopefully stop bad bacteria/infection setting in, if anyone has any other tips other than calm and clean water, please let me know.

Clean water, Primafix and Melafix always used to do wonders for my puffs when they had any cuts and bites (given its not overly serious)... so i'm sure it should help you too...

Just a small update Fitzgig is doing really well, seems pretty much healed and isnt shy anymore, begs and is out a lot more than I expected!

We need more information:

size of the tank and a better picture of the second one please. Don't disturb them with a net and no egg crate as of yet, the behaviour might only be in the beginnign to establish their ranks.

a video would do as well

what was that about not adding the egg crate?
