Hait vs. Trimac vs. Midas

I say Midas or Trimac. Jeff Rapps has alot of Nice Midas from what I have seen and heard right now. Trimacs are on and off his list. I would contact him and see what he could do for you.

thats a tough one... I voted Trimac because they are hardier than Haitiensis and very out going, and midas's are easier to get ahold of than trimacs or Haits. if you can find a nice male Hait thats over 6" then grab that but since you mentioned growing out small one to find your pick i suggest Trimacs.

Out of those three I'd go with a Trimac, but I really love Midas a lot. I just think the color is a little better in a Trimac is all. What are you leaning towards??

Kind of leaning towards the Hait's right now. Got a price quote for $97 for 6 of them. Just LOVE those fins. I'm just really concerned about bloat as I'd be getting them at 2". Too bad they aren't as hardy as other cichlids, or I'd already have some.

Kind of surprised nobody has said anything about Grammodes (Mini Dovii). I forgot to add them to the list, but I'm looking at them as well. Could do a pair of them in a 75. They seem like really cool fish as well.

Maybe I'll do Hait's in the 75 and Grammodes in the 55.
