does metronidazole/clout kill inverts? my festaes are acting fine but i have noticed my males **** is white and stringy... prob is i have 2 crayfish, clams and snails to think about.

I would treat with Met as directed, just in case there's an internal parasite problem. Please DO NOT feed beef heart (or bloodworm) to these fish, they are very susceptible to bloat, and high protein food (as well as water quality) is a possible trigger, also mammalian protein (and the fat with it) is not good for long term health. Krill, gamma shrimp, mussels, veggie flake, algae wafers and a good quality pellet is a better diet for these fish.

i believe metronidazole is harmful to inverts. you will want to remove them before you treat the tank. dont wait too long to treat though, it is much easier if the fish is still consuming food. i have had 2 fish survive that didnt eat for almost 3 months, but it was a lot harder than curing the fish ive treated that were still eating
